Big Brothers Big Sisters is not your typical organization. We help children realize their potential and build their futures. We nurture children and strengthen communities.  And we couldn’t do any of it without you.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Louisiana is a program of The Wellspring and an outstanding affiliate of BBBS of America, the 100+ year-old preeminent national youth-serving organization. The Wellspring is an umbrella organization focused on leading our community in serving people in need. It is one of the state’s oldest and most effective non-profits. It has been an enduring source of help and hope over the years, strengthening the lives of individuals and families throughout Northeast Louisiana.

The Wellspring mission is to strengthen and value individuals and families through professional services and community leadership with a culture of compassion and integrity. Read more about «The Wellspring.

Big Brothers Big Sisters operates under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“BIGS”) and children (“LITTLES”) ages 9 through 18, in communities across the country.  We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.

Big Brothers Big Sisters makes a BIG difference in children’s lives–and in the lives of the Bigs as well!  Kids who participate in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Louisiana can help kids ensure educational success, reduce risky behaviors and promote social-emotional competency.

VISION: All children achieve success in life

MISSION: Provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.

  • Higher aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships;
